The Denon MCX8000 DJ Controller is the perfect combination of hardware and software. The controller can be used both standalone and in MIDI modes. It is possible to use two channels of the MCX8000 with music files on a USB flash drive when files are analyzed in Denon's Engine software. Import crates/playlists directly from Serato to Engine and start playing. The large, clear displays can be used to browse and show track / FX info to make spinning eeven easier. Do you prefer with DJ software? No problem, the Denon MCX8000 can also be used as a MIDI controller in the included Serato DJ software: it can be used to control up to 4 channels!Multifunctional pads
The 8 large MPC-style pads under the jog wheel can be used in multiple modes. Use these pads for example to trigger hot cues, rolls or slicers. Want to mix samples with your playing tracks? No problem, the 8 pads can in fact also be used as (velocity) sample triggers. In addition, Denon has equipped the pads with double features to make them even more multifunctional. The extra modes are cue loops, recorded loops, loops slicer, and the velocity sampler. The Denon DN-MCX8000 has built-in controls for Serato's advanced Flip expansion. Elders goedkoper gezien?!

ik heb de mcx8000 nu ruim een week. het is echt een beest van een controller. hij is oerdegelijk uitgevoerd en je kunt heel makkelijk switchen van serato naar standalone.
Ik ben ooit van virtual dj naar traktor overgestapt en vandaar moest ik naar serato om deze controller ten volle te benutten. Persoonlijk geef ik nog steeds de voorkeur aan traktor, maar als je alles uit deze controller wil halen moet je serato gebruiken. Er is nog geen goeie mapping beschikbaar en je controllerschermpjes doen het ook niet. Serato detecteert automatisch (mits de mcx8000 driver op de pc geinstalleerd is) dat de controller er is en verandert in full flesh 4-kanaals controller software. Dan is het maar uitproberen tot je alle functionaliteit onder de knie hebt, wat vrij voor de hand liggend is allemaal.
De denon software (engine) vind ik maar zeer matig. je ontkomt er niet aan wil je je tracks voorbereiden op standalone en dat is jammer want de software crasht regelmatig en reageert erg traag. het analyseren van de software gaat ook heel langzaam. Dat moet echt beter.
De controller zelf zoals gezegd is echt een mooi en uitgebreid ding voor wat je ervoor betaalt. Ik heb alleen al een paar keer gehad dat hij crashte zelfs in standalone mode. Dat mag dus echt niet gebeuren. Ik heb de firmware geupdate, maar ook dan is het een keer gebeurd. Dan zit er niks anders op de dan controller opnieuw op te starten. Dat wil je dus echt niet als je op een feestje staat te draaien.
ik heb een hoop plezier van dit apparaat, maar hij moet echt nog mijn vertrouwen winnen. en dat zou voor dat geld, ook al is hij een voordelige controller, niet moeten hoeven
Zou ik hem daarom aanraden? jawel, als je je kunt permitteren dat de firmware je een moment in de steek kan laten. Is dat niet zo dan moet je naar iets anders uitkijken.
