Product Information Akai MPX8 SD sample launcher
The Akai MPX8 is a standalone SD sample launcher with eight style MPC drum pads. The MPX 8 is perhaps small, but that doesn't make this device less powerful!
Using an SD card allows you to assign your own samples to the eight pressure and velocity-sensitive pads on this device. In addition, this device also comes with an arsenal of Akai Pro samples and loops, perfect for both shows and during production. The blue backlit display on this sample launcher ensures that everything can be read, even in dark environments. The unit also features a 3.5mm mini-jack headphone output, a balanced stereo 6.3mm jack output, five-pin MIDI and USB MIDI inputs and outputs.
By using the included sample kit editor, you can organize your library, tune samples, and add reverb. Using the drag and drop function organizing tracks becomes super easy!
