The Essential Series is accessible to the blind and visually impaired, with audible menu descriptions through the built-in speaker or headphones, available in multiple languages including English, Spanish, French, Japanese, German, Italian and Chinese.

Sound pressure

With ultra-pure preamps and XLR/TRS combo inputs that support phantom power, the X/Y microphones can record sound up to 130 dB SPL, which is comparable to a live rock concert.

Record and Stream

The H4essential can stream in 32-bit float while simultaneously recording to an SD card. It also acts as a 4-in/2-out audio interface when connected to a PC, Mac, iOS or Android device via the USB-C port.

A built-in mixing console makes it easy to adjust the sound level of each track, while a waveform display gives you audio visualization during the recording process.

With 2 XLR/TRS inputs and X/Y microphones, the H4essential is ideal for capturing live shows, rehearsals and songs, giving musicians big stage sound.

For Location Sound and Podcasts

The XLR inputs are useful for recording dialogue and sound design on location, while the X/Y microphones are perfect for ambiance recording. Podcasters can use both inputs for different recording situations.

Bluetooth functionality and controls

The optional BTA-1 Bluetooth adapter allows users to pair their iOS devices for remote control, while the soft touch controls and built-in speaker provide a seamless experience.
