The Universal Audio Bock 167 is Universal Audio's large-diaphragm tube condenser microphone, built to give vocals and instruments the classic smooth tone of the legendary U67.
Handmade in the UA Custom Shop in California, with enhancements by world-renowned microphone designer David Bock, this premium multi-pattern studio microphone combines modern features with boutique craftsmanship, for years of flawless recording.
Vintage U67 tube microphones are cherished for their full sound and lively midrange. The Universal Audio Bock 167 enhances this classic design with three EQ filter options, a unique "fat" switch for boosting between 10 Hz and 400 Hz, and a continuously variable polar pattern. This translates into recordings with more dynamic range, tonal expansion and flexibility.
Each UA Bock 167 is hand-wired with premium components - including a dual-symmetrical K67 capsule, Lundahl transformer and NOS tube - and is built and tested to David Bock's exact specifications. With its premium housing, professional shockmount and hand-tuned power supply, this microphone will deliver exceptional recordings for years to come.
