Product Information OTO Machines BAM

The OTO Machines BAM is a stereo reverb processor inspired by the digital reverb units of the late '70s and early '80s. Sound engineers, producers, and musicians appreciate these units for their grainy, warm, and musical reverberation.

At OTO Machines, they are passionate about the technology of digital reverb units, especially the old models! They carefully listened to all digital reverb units built between 1976 and 1986, studied their architecture, and read all available papers (from 1961 to now) on designing digital reverb. It became clear to them that the musicality of early digital reverb processors was partly due to the algorithms and partly due to their hardware limitations.

The OTO Machines BAM uses technology closely resembling that of these early digital reverb units, including 16-bit converters, 20-bit fixed-point processing, and analog filtering. The seven reverb algorithms are partly influenced by the early structures and partly brand new. With MIDI control and 36 user presets, the BAM is a highly musical and unique reverb processor that combines the sound quality of a vintage device with the convenience of a desktop effect in a compact format.
