The Moog Messenger is a modern monophonic analog synthesizer from Moog, designed specifically for both beginner and experienced musicians, producers, and sound designers. This compact yet powerful instrument blends classic Moog tones with modern features. It offers two oscillators with wavefolding, a sub-oscillator with continuously variable waveforms, and two loopable ADSR envelopes. The 32 full-size, semi-weighted keys with velocity and aftertouch provide expressive playability, while the iconic Moog ladder filter has been enhanced with bass compensation, multiple filter types, and full multimode functionality.
The Messenger builds on the legacy of iconic Moog synths like the Minimoog Model D, Voyager, Grandmother, and Subsequent 37. For the first time, the classic ladder filter includes a switchable RES BASS function, allowing users to choose between traditional low-pass filtering or preserving the low-end when resonance is increased. With 256 presets, a rugged metal chassis, and an intuitive knob-per-function layout, the Messenger is designed to inspire—both in the studio and on stage.
In addition to its rich sonic capabilities, the Messenger offers a wide range of creative tools. You can record sequences of up to 64 steps, introduce randomness for unpredictable results, and explore countless arpeggiator patterns. With two LFOs, deep modulation options, and oscillator sync at audio rates, sound design becomes a true playground. Extensive connectivity—including CV patch points, external audio input, MIDI over USB-C, and 5-pin DIN—ensures seamless integration into any studio setup.
