Melbourne Instruments NINA is a 12-voice analog polyphonic synthesizer with motorized controls, designed to combine classic analog sound with a modern control interface; high-precision motorized controls provide direct, tactile control and enable instant recall of all parameters. The combination of a hardware feel and the flexibility of modern digital production environments makes NINA relevant in the world of synthesizers and analog polyphonic sound design.

Melbourne Instruments NINA generates fully analog sound with three oscillators per voice — two analog VCOs and a digital wavetable oscillator — and passes the signal through a classic 4-pole transistor ladder filter and a specially developed VCA circuit. This results in a sound spectrum ranging from warm, dense polyphonic sounds to complex, aggressive textures. The Motorized Knob technology includes 35 motorized controls with over 16,000 precision steps for instant parameter reset and real haptic feedback; depending on the function, the controls behave as classic potentiometers, stepped encoders, or multi-stage switches for intuitive sound editing. The integrated multi-track sequencer makes NINA a standalone composition and performance platform, with four independent sequencer tracks supporting polyrhythmic and polyphonic patterns.
