Product Information EarthQuaker Devices Data Corrupter
The EarthQuaker Devices Data Corrupter is a monophonic PLL harmonizer (Phase-Locked Loop) with 3 voices that brutally amplifies your input signal for a powerful square wave fuzz sound. The signal is then "multiplied, divided, and modulated" to create a harmonically complex, expressive, and touch-sensitive analog synth sound, up to 3 octaves below or above the original signal, with additional harmonies. The Master Oscillator voice reaches up to 3 octaves higher with different intervals via one of the 8 programs. The Subharmonic voice goes down to 3 octaves lower with other intervals, also defined by one of the 8 programs. The Frequency Modulator section of the Data Corrupter applies pitch-bend modulation to the master oscillator; in Glide mode, you hear a slight portamento between notes, while Vibrato modulates the pitch up and down for a retro science fiction effect. The 3rd voice is a square wave fuzz, and all 3 voices can be mixed via the Voice Mixer section.
