The Akai MPC X Special Edition is a powerful standalone music production system perfect for producers and musicians seeking an all-in-one solution. You no longer need a computer, although it can be seamlessly integrated with a DAW and/or software if you wish. Special about this 'Special Edition' in, among other things, the eye-catching retro look, based on the design of the legendary MPC60. This is how Akai Professional started their career 35 years ago. Also new is 4GB of RAM and 48GB of internal storage, more than ever before in an MPC.
The MPC X Special Edition lets you manipulate samples and loops, create and mix tracks, and even record and edit your own instruments and sounds. It is the ideal centerpiece of your studio, even if you want to control and record other synthesizers, drum machines or even Eurorack modules. Do you want to control the MPC X SE correctly from other MIDI equipment or software? No problem at all. Even Bluetooth and Wifi are 'just' built-in.
