The Akai APC64 is an innovative MIDI controller designed specifically for Ableton Live. With 64 RGB-sensitive pads with poly aftertouch, eight fully assignable touch strips, an internal step sequencer and more, the APC64 represents the future of Ableton Live hardware control.
The 8x8 pad matrix features 64 velocity-sensitive RGB pads for launching clips and more, even in dark studios and under bright stage lighting. Add expression to your performances with 8 fully assignable touch-strip controllers. Place vibrato, modulation, filter-cutoff and other parameters at your fingertips, adjust volume or control effects to control your mix without missing a beat. Plus, you'll always keep an overview thanks to the APC's color screen that displays information about what you're controlling and where your levels are.
Write unique melodies and chord progressions with the Notes and Chords modes, which transform the 8x8 pad matrix into an expressive musical palette. When you need inspiration, experiment with the Probability or Mutate functions to take your music in unexpected directions and capture the results instantly with the internal 8-track, 32-step sequencer.
