Product Information Zoom F8n
The Zoom F8n is the successor of the Zoom F8 with some useful new features. You'll have access to 8 Neutrik combo inputs for XLR or 1/4" TRS jack, as well as a 10-pin microphone connector for Zoom microphones (stereo). You'll have two mini XLRs as output, a stereo 1/4" jack headphone output and a 1/8" stereo mini jack output. The mic preamps are high quality and deliver up to 75dB gain and the inputs can be used for both line and microphone signals. The advanced look-ahead limiters in this Zoom F8n, already anticipate clipping before the signal is actually clipping. An other new feature is the Zoom AutoMix function that automatically reduces the ambient sound so you can focus on what really matters – capturing a well-balanced mix. The sample rates that this recorder can record are 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, and even 192 kHz, 16 or 24 bit WAV. If you want to record in MP3, you can choose between 128, 192, or 320 kbps. To sync with video, this F8n is equipped with a Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO). Thanks to the BNC connectors you'll have timecode in and out options. You'll also have two slots for an SD card, but you can also record directly on your computer through USB. Through the 4-pin Hirose connector your recorder works with batteries or with the included power supply. Besides the 2.4 inch full-color screen, you can use the Zoom F8 Control app on your iOS device to mix, or the Zoom F-Control FRC-8.
