The Universal Audio 6176 Vintage Channel Strip is a classic tube preamp and 1176-style compressor in a single unit. The 6176 Vintage Channel Strip combines vintage tube sounds of the legendary Bill Putnam 610 microphone preamp designed with distinctive FET compression of the 1176LN to create the ultimate channel strip. The warm tones of this preamp - designed to record all the vocals, from Frank Sinatra to Van Halen - and the unique characteristics of the compressor are the main reasons why 6176 is so popular.
